Bethany Lutheran Church exists to spread the message of Jesus Christ in truth and purity. We are a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Synod (ELS), a conservative, 'Bible-believing' organization. Bethany uses The Lutheran Hymnal for worship services.
Bethany is a 'confessional' Lutheran church. That means that we take God's Word very seriously and very literally - believing that it is the only source of rule and doctrine, and that Scripture is correctly explained in the Lutheran Confessions (the unaltered Book of Concord of 1580). We believe the Church cannot serve the people of this world if teachings and doctrines are changed to reflect current trends. Rather, God's Word is that which causes change - the Gospel brings about a life that pleases God by serving it's fellow men and women.

Pastor Tony Pittenger currently serves Bethany Lutheran. Pastor Pittenger is a graduate of Bethany Lutheran Theological Seminary in Mankato, Minnesota. He graduated from the Seminary in 1996 and has been serving Bethany since that time. |
A member of the Evangelical Lutheran Synod, which is in doctrinal fellowship with the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod.
